Why the arithmetic is tighter
A compressor replacement follows the same sequence on a small unit as on a large one: the refrigerant is recovered, the new compressor is joined into the lines, the drier is changed, and the system is evacuated and recharged. Being smaller shortens none of that, so the repair is quoted from the same sealed-system range.
